# Workspaces, Access, and Visible Status

Confirm where you are working, what your role allows, and whether a change is private, in review, or public.

## Confirm the workspace

Before editing, confirm the agency and site shown in Workganic. Similar page names can exist in different workspaces, so the visible workspace and site name are part of the change you are making.

Use invented information only for practice, demonstrations, and documentation. Never substitute a real client record into a public example.

## Confirm access

What you can view or change depends on your role. If a control named in a guide is absent, do not try to work around the missing control. Ask the workspace owner to confirm your role or complete the step.

## Read the status before acting

- **Draft** means changes are being prepared and are not the published page.
- **Published** means the page has a public version.
- **Open Test Site** opens the private test view used for review.
- **Open Published Page** opens the currently published version.
- **Save Changes** publishes the current saved draft for a standard marketing page.
- **Review & Publish** reviews the exact saved draft of a Documentation page for public content before publishing it. A later edit requires a new review.

## Use a safe working pattern

1. Confirm the workspace and site.
2. Record the current page title, path, and status.
3. Make one related set of changes in the draft.
4. Review the private test view on desktop and mobile.
5. Confirm forms, links, search details, and accessibility.
6. Publish only after the review is complete.
7. Open the published page and verify the live result.

> Seeing a correct draft or test view does not prove that the published page has changed.

## Stop conditions

Stop before publishing if the workspace is uncertain, the wrong page is selected, a form destination is unknown, private information appears in page content, or the private test view differs materially from the intended result.
