Confirm readiness
Open Phone and confirm the workspace, your availability, the selected calling device, and the number that will be shown for the call. Resolve any visible readiness warning before dialing.
Start from the right context
When calling from a record, confirm the person and selected phone number. For a manually entered number, recheck it before starting the call.
During the call
Use the visible controls for mute, hold, keypad, transfer, additional calls, and ending the call. When more than one call is present, confirm which call is active before using a control.
Finish the call
End the intended call, select the accurate call outcome, and create follow-up when needed. Confirm that the phone returns to a ready state and that the outcome appears on the correct record.
Incoming and waiting calls
Read the visible caller context before answering. If a second call arrives, confirm the effect of hold, switch, decline, or end before acting. Afterward, verify that no unintended call remains active.
Stop conditions
Stop if the wrong record or number is selected, the calling identity is uncertain, audio is not working, multiple calls cannot be distinguished, or the screen does not show a reliable end state.
